Domestic leagues: Levski won in the first semifinal, Rilski was defeated

Levski had a very difficult start to the semifinal series of the local championship. The team hosted Balkan and won 78-77 in a dramatic way. The visitors had the lead in the final seconds but Nemanja Protic was fouled with 5.5 seconds to play, scored twice from the free throw line and gave his team the victory.
Marko Marinovic had 20 points for the winners as Protic added 14 and Chavdar Kostov 12.
Rilski Sportist is now losing 1-0 in the semifinals after being beaten away by the champions Lukoil Academic 85-96. The team from Samokov fell behind by 10 points near the end of the first half and in the remaining time couldn′t put a lot of pressure on the home team.
Hristo Zahariev had 22 points for Rilski and Terry Smith added 19.
