Can Do Basketball referee camp to be held in Botevgrad in the next years

Can Do Basketball referee camp will be held in Botevgrad, Bulgaria, in the next years. The camp will once again be organized by "Balkan Sport and Travel" with the cooperation of Bulgarian basketball federation, EUROHOLD Balkan League and after the agreement with the Mayor of Botevgrad community - Mr. Georgi Georgiev.

The meeting between Mr. Shay Shtriks and Mr. Georgiev was held on Monday and the two of them talked for a long time for cooperatiion. The Mayor of Botevgrad community remained positive and gave his full approval for the organization of the camp. The director of Can Do Basketball - Mr. Alan Richardson chose Bulgaria four year ago and will continue to do his camp in the same country.

One of the reasons to be chosen the city of Botevgrad is the fact that there is a new gym that us under construction right now and is expected to be ready at the start of the next year. On the other side the city has been a basketball one for a long time and there are a lot of fans. Mr. Georgiev accepted the idea and showed himself open to future sports events in the future.

Can Do Basketball was held in Samokov last month for a fourth time in a row in Bulgaria. This is the only international referee camp in direct cooperation with FIBA and having instructors from FIBA, FIBA Europe and Euroleague. In its last edition there were a total of 71 referee, 12 of which international.

During the meeting were said some words about the project of EUROHOLD Balkan League and the Sports Director of the competiton - Mr. Shay Shtriks said that he would be very happy to see Balkan in. From his side Mr. Georgiev said positive words for such an idea and gave his full support for such participation. He added also that everything will be decided by the management of the club. The meeting ended with the agreement and the decision that both sides will cooperate for future sports projects as well.
