Amit Gal, General manager of BC Galil Gilboa: We are looking for three in a row

Amit Gal is the General manager of BC Galil Gilboa. The team will enter its third season in EUROHOLD Balkan League and is the one to beat having win the previous two competitions. However it will be a hard task because as Gal admitted - they are looking for three in a row:
"Of course we are looking for three in a row. We built a team that will try to be a champion. We have a new young team and we take this competition very serious, not less serious than the Israeli league. We look forward to reach the Fiinal 4, this is a must for us.
I like the level of EUROHOLD Balkan League. I also like the organization  and I believe that this tournament can be even better than EuroChallenge because the management is more open to all the things. Before I had a lot of fight with FIBA with some tough rules and I don′t like it. Basketball needs to bring joy and we feel more comfortable here.
Our new coach is very experienced. Sharon Drucker has worked in Italy, Belgium, Greece and he knows the job well. The players are very hungry to succeed. We know it′s going to be a tough league but as I said - we are looking forward to reach the Final 4.
I want to say to everybody to behave like professionals from the beginning. This means to give every single detail like ffor example we give details for bus, gym, food. This level of competition will be high and it starts from this small things that everybody talks about. You know that the players talk between each other and is very important the conditions to be in order.
The rules about the Non-European players and the fact that you cannot use more than 3 on the same time on the court is OK for us. What is important is that in the team list for each game you can put 4 or 5. It′s fair enough though to be just 3 on the field. For me though the rule has to be for foreigners. For me the rule has to say that two local players need to be on the court and then it doesn′t matter if you are from Macedonia, Russia, China or USA. Next season I will talk with the managament to have a change in this rule.
