Domestic leagues: Galil Gilboa defeated in the opening round

Current double EUROHOLD Balkan League champion - BC Galil Gilboa, was defeated at home in the opening round of Israeli league. The team hosted Hapoel Eilat and was beaten 76-80.
Galil started well the match and took a 7-point lead after the first quarter. In the second though Hapoel managed to play better and held a single point lead after 20 minutes as in the third quarter they increased it to 9. In the last quarter Galil tried everything to take back the lead but didn′t succeed and lost the match.
Rick Jackson had 17 points and 7 rebounds in the losing effort. Stu Douglas added 15 points as Tony Younger had 10.
