KB Sigal Prishtina (Prishtina, KOS) recorded second straight win in EUROHOLD Balkan League. At home in front of more than 2000 spectators and a great atmosphere, the team defeated BC Balkan (Botevgrad, BUL) 89-71. It was a historic moment as this was the first game from international competition played in Kosovo. Next week Sigal will visit BC Galil Gilboa while Balkan will travel to Gevgelija to meet KK Kozuv.
The game couldn′t start in a better way for the hosts. They scored the first 12 points and from then on never looked back. Ivan Lilov answered with two triples for the visitors but then Sigal scored 11 points in a row and suddenly was up by 17. The first quarter ended with an advantage of 20 and the second started with 6-0 run for Balkan. However Sigal responded also to that as the team managed to build leads of 23 points a few times before the half finished at 18. In the second half the hosts did well to control the game and their lead. They never allowed Balkan to even think about getting back in the match and won for the delight of their fans.
Top scorer for the winners was Dardan Berisha with 21 points, including 6 triples, as Kendrick Jones added 20 points.
For the visitors Stanimir Marinov finished with 19 points and Ivan Lilov scored 12.
