Domestic leagues: Levski with third straight victory, Balkan with second home loss

Levski recorded its third straight victory in the local championship. The team hosted Rilski Sportist in Sofia and won 82-69. The Blues opened up the second quarter on an 8-0 run which gave them a 12-point lead. From then on they controlled the game and, except a few minutes, never gave a chance to Rilski to think they can make a comeback Lionel Chalmers had 17 points and Jumaine Jones added 16 and 13 rebounds.
Elsewhere Balkan had its second straight home defeat of the season. This time the team from Botevgrad lost to Cherno more Port Varna 84-89 after being down for the whole game. The visitors led from the first minutes but in the last quarter Balkan made a 13-3 run that cut the deficit to 3 points. Then it became just 1 but the visitors scored a key triple and won.
Stanimir Marinov had 32 points for Balkan as Pavel Marinov added 18.
