Domestic leagues: First loss for Levski, away win for Balkan

First loss since the start of the new season in Bulgarian league suffered the team of Levski. The Blues from Sofia visited Cherno more in the 5th round and lost 68-84. The hosts started great and led 15-2 in the first minutes. Then in the first quarter the advantage went up to 21 points and until the end Levski couldn′t come close to try a comeback.
Jumaine Jones had 28 points and 11 rebounds for Levski as Pavel Ivanov and Nikolay Varbanov scored 8 points apiece.
In the same round Balkan defeated Yambol away 110-89 after a great shooting night. The team from Botevgrad scored 18 three-pointers from 31 attempts and that was decisive. They led from the first minutes and had control of the game for the whole time.
Ivan Lilov had 23 points, Peter Sedmak scored 21 and Stanimir Marinov added 18 while the three of them scored 5 triples each. After 5 rounds Levski has 3 wins and 1 loss while Balkan is with a 2-2 record.
