Important away victory for Kozuv

Very important victory in the 5th round of EUROHOLD Balkan League had KK Kozuv (Gevgelija, MKD). The team played away at KK Teodo (Tivat, MNE) and won the game 80-74. This puts the team at 4 victories and 1 defeat and they moved to the top of the competition. On the other hand Teodo now has 1 win and 5 defeats.

After an even first quarter the visitors managed to take some lead in the second. They pulled away by making a few runs that allowed them to go up by 13 points. However Teodo scored the last 7 points of the first half and by the break cut the deficit to 6.

In the third quarter Kozuv contined to lead but in the middle of it Teodo made a 10-0 run after which the team went up by 5 points. They kept the lead for a few minutes but in the last of the quarter Kozuv scored 6 in a row to retake the lead. However after the end of it the hosts were up by a single point and the margin was the same in the 4th minute. Then though the visitors made an 11-2 run that gave them a good advantage. Still Teodo managed to cut down the deficit to 2 points but in the finals seconds Kozuv managed to keep the lead and won.

Great game for the winners had Miladin Pekovic who finished with 27 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Dimitar Mirakovski scored 22 points as Dimitar Karadzovski added 12.

Nikola Korac had 20 points and 5 assists while Nikola Vucurovic scored 16 points.
