Five straight wins for Kumanovo 2009

KK Kumanovo 2009 now has five straight wins in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team played its first away game since the start of the season and defeated KK Teodo in Tivat 72-67. Thanks to this Kumanovo stands at a 5-1 record while Teodo is with 1 victory and 6 defeats. It was an even game for most of the time with the hosts having a small advantage in the first minutes of the second quarter and then the visitors led until the end of the half. The second started on an 11-3 run for Kumanovo and the team′s advantage went up to 10 points. From then on they were in front as the hosts twice came close - first to 3 and then to 4 points, but after 30 minutes the guests were up by 7.
Kumanovo had a good lead in the last quarter as once the hosts cut the deficit to 4 points but the visitors immediately hit a triple. In that minutes they made three in a row to take a 10-point lead which practically decided the game. Kumanovo didn′t score in the last 02.30 minutes but the players of Teodo managed to have only 5 more points.
Vukasin Mandic was the top scorer for the winners with 27 points. Uros Lukovic had 10 points and 4 rebounds in his return to the team as Marjan Mladenovic had the same stats.
Savo Djikanovic had a double double for the hosts with 17 points and 12 rebounds while Nikola Korac added 13 points.
