BC Balkan won its third straight home game in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The Greens from Botevgrad hosted KB Sigal Prishtina and took the victory by a score of 85-77. The home team finished very well the first quarter and led from that moment until the end. After this match Sigal is tied for 3th place with Kumanovo as both teams have 6 wins and 4 losses. Balkan on the other side is tied with Peja for 7th position with a 4-5 record. Next week Sigal will host the leaders BC Galil Gilboa while Balkan′s next game is on February 13th against Kozuv at home.

Both teams exchanged baskets at the start of the game but near the end of the first quarter Balkan made a 12-2 run and moved in front. The hosts had a good advantage in the next quarters as well as the lead in the third went up to 17 points. The quarter finished with 15-point advantage for Balkan but the last one started on a 12-3 run for Sigal as the visitors cut their deficit to 6 points. Then Ivan Lilov scored an important triple for Balkan but Dardan Berisha answered right away. However then Stanimir Marinov also made a three-pointer and Lilov′s basket with 02.25 to play decided the outcome as the lead went up to 10 points.

Balkan scored 11 triples which compared to the 4 by Sigal gave the hosts a big advantage.

Noah Dahlman had another double double for the home team with 23 points and 17 rebounds while Stanimir Marinov also played very well and finished with 18 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds.

For the visitors Kendrick Jones scored 19 points as 18 added Dardan Berisha.
