Domestic cups: KK Kumanovo 2009 reached the semifinals in dramatic fashion

KK Kumanovo 2009 is through to the semifinal of Macedonian Cup. The team played Rabotnicki in the third quarterfinal and won 94-92 in overtime. Both teams had the chance to win in regular 40 minutes but missed it and the game had to be decided in additional five minutes.   Both teams were exchanging leads throughout the game as no one could take a big advantage. With less then five minutes to go Rabotnicki had a 4-point lead but Kumanovo tied the game. With 33 seconds to play the team took the lead but Rabotnicki scored and then in the last offense Vukasin Mandic missed a three-pointer so the game went to overtime.   In the extra period Rabotnicki took a 5-point lead but Nemanja Vranjes scored two triples as Kumanovo managed to go up. The team held to a single point lead as Royce Parran missed a three-pointer. The American though grabbed the rebound, was fouled and made one free throw which secured the win for his team.   Vukasin Mandic had 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists for Kumanovo while Nemanja Vranjes scored 23 points.
