Balkan defeated Kozuv for another home win

BC Balkan recorded its fourth straight home win in EUROHOLD Balkan League after the team downed KK Kozuv 84-77. The Greens took the lead in the second quarter and didn′t give it up until the end despite the efforts by the Macedonians. With this result Balkan now has 5 wins and 5 losses and continues to fight for a spot in Top 6. Kozuv on the other side suffered its seventh straight defeat and with a 4-8 record the team′s chances are getting smaller.
 
Kozuv started better and lead in the first quarter, at one point by 6. In the second though Balkan moved in front and at the break led by 6 points. Shortly after the start of the second half the hosts made a 7-0 run to move up by 11 points but the visitors cut the deficit to 3 in the last quarter. Then the hosts scored 5 straight points but the visitors didn′t give up and with 38 seconds to go they closed the gap to 4. 15 seconds later it became 3 but then Austin Dufault was whistled for an unsportsmanlike foul which decided the outcome.
 
Noah Dahlman had 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winners while Ivan Lilov added 20 points.
 
for the visitors Slobodan Bozovic scored 21 points as Igor Mijalovic finished with 16.
