Balkan crushed Kumanovo 2009 after a great start

BC Balkan recorded its fifth straight home win in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The Greens played KK Kumanovo 2009 in their own gym and won convincingly 96-69. They had a great start to the game and it was enough to secure the final victory. In case of a tie between the teams Balkan will have the advantage due to the fact that they lost by 14 points in Kumanovo. After this match the Bulgarians have 6-5 record while Kumanovo suffered its fourth straight defeat and now are 6-6.
 
Both teams exchanged points at the start and the score was 5-5. Then Balkan first made 11-0 run to take the lead and it was stopped by a basket for the visitors. The hosts though scored the next 10 points to take a big lead that went to 22 at the end of the quarter. The second started with a 7-0 run for them and from that point on there was only one outcome. Kumanovo managed to cut the deficit to 14 in the third quarter but in the last one Balkan did play much better and once again increased the difference.
 
The hosts shot deadly inside and were 31 of 44 for two points compared to 18 of 35 for Kumanovo.
 
Noah Dahlman finished with 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners while Stanimir Marinov had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 8 assists.
 
For the visitors Nemanja Vranjes had 16 points and 5 rebounds as 11 points added Marjan Janeski.
