Dramatic overtime win for Levski against Galil Gilboa

BC Levski recorded a very dramatic home win over BC Galil Gilboa by a score of 100-95. The winner had to be decided in overtime and it was the fourth one in the history between the two teams. They met in the last two finals in EUROHOLD Balkan League as the first was won by Galil in one overtime and the second by two. This time the luck was on the Levski′s side and The Blues got an important victory. It gives them 8-5 record while Galil is now at 7-5 as both teams will continue the fight for a top 2 finish which secures direct qualification for the Final 4.
 
Both teams exchanged baskets in the first and the second quarters but the first half finished on a 9-0 run for the visitors which gave them a 6-point advantage. Then in the middle of the third quarter it went to 10 points but Levski answered with the next 5. In the last quarter Levski started cut the deficit and Hristo Zahariev′s basket gave them the lead. With two minutes to go Galil went up by 4 points but Zahariev scored the next 6 to put Levski in front. The visitors tied the game but later with 4 seconds to go the hosts were up by 2 after they made one free throw. However there was enough time for Gerald Robinson to score and to sent the game in overtime.
 
In the extra time Kenny Boynton scored a triple to put Galil ahead by a point but Chalmers scored immediatelly and then Zahariev added 6 straight points to decide the outcome.
 
Hristo Zahariev was the top scorer for the win with 23 points as Lionel Chalmers added 19.
 
For the visitors Kenny Boynton finished with 25 points as 17 and 14 rebounds had Rick Jackson.
