Dramatic first away win for KK Teodo

KK Teodo recorded its first away win of the season in EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team defeated KK Kozuv 75-74 in Macedonia as it was the fourth straight victory for the visitors from Montenegro. This still keept them with a chance of reaching the Top 6 while after this result Kozuv is almost certainly out of the race. It was the team′s eight straight defeat in the competitoin and it puts them in last place with a 4-9 record as Teodo now has 5-8. On Thursday Teodo meets KK Kumanovo 2009 away while on March 12th Kozuv is visiting KB Sigal Prishtina.
 
The hosts started well and in three minutes were up by 7 points. Later though the visitors made an 11-3 run and took the lead and they were up by 3 points after a high scoring first quarter. In the second Teodo played very good and managed to built a double digit advantage. First with a 6-0 run they went up by 10 points as Austin Dufault scored a triple for the hosts. The visitors though scored the next 7 points and suddenly their lead was 14 before Kozuv cut some of the deficit in the final seconds of the first half.
 
In the middle of the third quarter Teodo′s lead was 8 points but with a 12-2 run Kozuv managed to took the advantage once again. Still Teodo succeeded to be up by a points at the end of the quarter but the hosts started the last with a 6-2 run to retake the lead. The visitors answered with the next 4 points and then both teams started exchanging leads. The decisive moments came in the last two minutes. First Dimitar Karadzovski missed two free throws and then Nikola Vucurovic made an incredible three-pointer for the visitors to put them up by 3 points. The immediately Igor Mijalovic scored to cut the deficit to a single points but it was the last basket in the game. Then both teams missed as did Miladin Pekovic in the final second.
 
The veteran Savo Djikanovic had another great game as he finished with 26 points and 17 rebounds in 40 minutes on the court. Nikola Korac had 18 points while Nikola Vucurovic added 14.
 
For the hosts Slaven Cupkovic finished with 23 points as Dimitar Karadzovski had 11.
