Levski recorded its ninth win of the season

Levski had its ninth win in EUROHOLD Balkan League after downing Kumanovo 2009 away by a score of 92-85. The visitors managed to pull away in the third quarter and survived a scare at the end to take the victory. With this result Levski now has a 9-5 record with two crucial games to play. Kumanovo on the other side is with 6 wins and 9 defeats as this was the seventh in a row of the team. In their last match they meet KK Kozuv away in the Macedonian derby of the tournament and with a win they will reach the Top 6.
It was an even first half as none of the teams could take a big lead. After both quarter Levski was up by a single point and all had to be decided after the break. At the end of the third quarter Levski made a good 10-2 run which gave the team a 10-point advantage. Then the visitors were able to keep it almost until the end but with less than three minutes to play Kumanovo cut the deficit to just 2 points. Then they tied the score but with 40 seconds to go Lionel Chalmers scored a triple for Levski. Then the hosts missed their two last offenses and lost the match.
Six players of Levski scored in double figures as Lionel Chalmers was the top one with 19 points. Jumaine Jones had 16 and 11 rebounds while Hristo Zahariev scored 14 points.
For the hosts Royce Parran finished with 24 points. In just 23 minutes Uros Lukovic added 22 points and 7 rebounds while Ivan Miskovic had 16 and 7.
