Domestic leagues: Balkan once again losing to Cherno more, Levski defeated Rilski

BC Balkan lost for fourth straight time to Cherno more this season. The team from Botevgrad visited Cherno more in Varna and was defeated 81-105. With this result Balkan now has 14 wins and 5 losses and has a game less than Cherno more in the battle for second place.
Balkan led by 5 points after the first quarter but the hosts took the same advantage at the halftime break. With a little to play in the third quarter the difference went up to 15 points and until the end Cherno more had no problems. Pavel Marinov had 15 points and 5 assists for Balkan while Ivan Lilov and Peter Sedmak scored 11 points apiece.
Levski in the mean time had a comeback 96-83 win over Rilski Sportist at home. The Blues now have 13 wins and 6 defeats and are also in the fight for the second or third positions in the regular season. Rilski played very well and led by 12 points at the halftime break. In the third quarter the lead became 18 points but with a 14-2 run Levski came back to just 4. Until the end of the quarter the team moved in front and until the end was the better one to take the victory.
Hristo Zahariev, Lionel Chalmers and Pavel Ivanov all scored 22 points for the win.News
