Balkan defeated Teodo for second time and qualified for the Final 4

BC Balkan is the final participant in the Final 4 of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The team from Botevgrad defeated 66-58 KK Teodo at home and after the second win qualified for the finals of the competition. In the semifinals to be played on April 25th Balkan will meet Levski while the other one will see the champions Galil Gilboa against Sigal Prishtina.   Teodo scored the first two points of the game but Balkan responded with the next 10 to take the lead. The hosts controlled the match in the next minutes and were holding on to their lead. It became 10 points at the start of the second quarter after a triple by Martin Marinov but the visitors made a 7-0 run to cut the deficit to 3 points. Still Balkan managed to hold on to its lead but Teodo cut it to 1 with a minute and a half to play in the half. The hosts however managed to finish it with 6-0 run to take a 7-point advantage at the break.   In the whole third quarter Balkan had the advantage but the team us by 7 points at most. Savo Djikanovic was unstoppable for the visitors and he kept them in the game as his team was down by 5 points after 30 minutes. Two very important triples by Ivan Lilov kept Balkan’s advantage in the first minutes of the last quarter and in the last six the hosts controlled the match and took the victory.   Ivan Lilov was the top player for the winners with 15 points and 8 rebounds while Pavel Marinov finished with 13 points and 5 assists.   For the visitors Savo Djikanovic was great with 27 points and 13 rebounds as Nikola Vucurovic had 14 points.
