Final preview: Three in a row for Galil Gilboa or revenge for Levski
27-04-2014 | 09:42
Today is the Big Final in EUROHOLD Balkan League. For third we′ll see Galil Gilboa and Levski going at each other and looking for the trophy. We all know how the last two final clashes between those teams finished so the question now is whether Galil will be able to make it three in a row or Levski will take revenge for the last two seasons.
Galil will look to use its athleticism to an advantage in the match. The team has young and athletic players which is something they are better than Levski. The likes of Kenny Boynton, Gerald Robinson, Rick Jackson and DeShawn Sims plus the Israeli players Amit Simchon and Nimrod Tishman are the ones who will play most of the minutes and will try to overcome Levski. Galil lost both meeting between the teams this season but that doesn′t mean anything in the final.
Levski from the other side will try to use its experience in getting a result over Galil. The Blues are going to need strong performance from Brandon Heath and Jumaine Jones who stepped up when needed in the semifinal. However they will need support also from Lionel Chalmers and of course Hristo Zahariev, Pavel Ivanov and Nikolay Varbanov whose role is going to be very important.
Before the final there also will be the match for 3rd place. It sees Balkan going out against the hosts of the Final Four Sigal Prishtina in a match not only for honour but also for financial prize.News
