Domestic leagues: Balkan and Levski started the playoffs with victories

Balkan recorded a 93-77 win over Spartak Pleven in the first game of the playoffs in Bulgaria. The team controlled the game from the end of the first half and never were in doubt for the victory. Stanimir Marinov had 28 points for the winners while Pavel Marinov had 21.
 
 
Levski also had a victory in the first game of the playoffs. The Blues from Sofia hosted Rilski Sportist and won 89-82 to take a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. Levski went up by double digits in the second quarter but in the third Rilski cut the deficit to just 4. Levski answered with an 8-0 run and controlled the game untl the end.
 
Brandon Heath had 21 points and 7 assists for the win while Hristo Zahariev added 18 points and 7 rebounds.
