Domestic leagues: Balkan outclassed Levski to take a 2-0 lead

Balkan is now just one win away from reaching the Final in Bulgarian league. In the second semifinal against Levski the team won 89-71 at home and is now 2-0 up in the series. The next match is in Sofia.
Balkan made a 14-4 run in the second quarter which put the team in front and they kept a good lead until the end of the first half. The second half started great for the hosts as after a 7-0 run they took a 13-point advantage. Levski responded well and cut the deficit to just 3 points but Balkan didn′t panic and kept their lead. In the final quarter the game was decided with a 16-0 run for the home team.
Stanimir Marinov was the top performer for the winners with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Pavel Marinov had 17 points while Ivan Lilov scored 14.
For the visitors Jumaine Jones finished with 17 points and 14 rebounds as Brandon Heath scored 13 points.News
