Season preview: KS Vllaznia

KS Vllaznia is about to make a historic debut in EUROHOLD Balkan League. This will be the first team from Albania to take part in the regional competition and everybody will be eager to make good impression there.   Vllaznia won the Albanian league last season and this will make the team even more hungrier to prove itself. The team will rely mainly on local players with a few foreigners.   Vllaznia will count a lot on Mirza Sarajlija on the point guard to run the team′s offense. He already has experience in EUROHOLD BIBL with KK Mornar and this should help him and the team. The other two foreign players are Milos Pajovic and Nemanja Gavrancic. Both are coming from Montenegro and will try to provide good performance on the wing and under the basket.   From the local Albanian pplayers we need to put our attention on the point guard Ervin Berdica who is the team′s most experienced players and has spent most of his career in the squad. Damjan Bekteshi, Gjon Ndoja and Nikolin Arra are also worth keeping an eye on and they will try to prove themselves in international level.   Genereally it′s a great chance for Albanian basketball and KS Vllaznia in particular to show their skills and their basketball to more countries and it is a chance to develop the local young players.   Vllaznia′s first game is away at Sigal Prishtina on October 14th.
