Season preview: KK Mornar

KK Mornar is back in EUROHOLD Balkan League after one year absence and the team looks very strong. The head coach Djordje Pavicevic will rely on some good local players and the team from Bar added also three young Americans.

The point guard position will be shared by Calvin Newell and Milan Latkovic. The American is in his first European experience while the Montenegrin has played even some years in this competition. They will be given the keys ot Mornar′s offense and will try to share the ball well.

Ivan Jelenic is back in the team and this is a good news for the local fans. His deadly left hand has hurt a lot of teams and his form will be decisive for success this season. Miroslav Damjanovic and Vasilije Vusovic are also expected to have minutes on the wing with a few younger players waiting as well.

Power forward Glenn Bryant and center Dashonte Riley are the two players that will try to protect the rim and make points under the basket. The same counts for the youngster Milija Mikovic who is one of the most talanted players on the roster and will get a lot of playing time. Milos Milosevic and Marko Perovic will fight for their place as well.

Generally Mornar has a very good roster, experienced coach and will want to achieve good things. The team from Bar will play tough and hard basketball and we should see that in the first round when they visit Kozuv.
