Domestic leagues: Kumanovo started with a win, Kozuv lost at home

The new season in Macedonian championship started this weekend with the two EUROHOLD Balkan League participants having a different fate in their opening games.

KK Kumanovo 2009 visited KK Strumica and won 92-74. The visitors managed to build steadily their advantage and at the end had no problems taking the win. Perfect debut had Sasa Avramovic who finished with 23 points making all 10 of his shots. Vukasin Mandic added 19 points and 11 rebounds while Marjan Janeski scored 10 points.


KK Kozuv hosted Karpos Sokoli but lost 74-81. The team from Gevgelija didn′t play well in the second quarter when they went down by 9 points. Later the deficit was cut to just two points but the visitors managed to hold on at the end. Uros Lukovic had 20 points in the losing effort while Drasko Albijanic added 14 and 8 rebounds.
