Important win for Kumanovo in Tivat

KK Kumanovo 2009 defeated KK Teodo 74-70 away for important second straight victory in group B. Both teams played an exciting game with a lot of lead changes but at the end the visitors did better and won. By this they have 2-1 record while Teodo is last with third straight loss and with no victories.

Teodo started better by leading at the start and took a 7-point advantage. The visitors however managed to quickly reduce the gap and until the end of the first quarter the teams stayed close. In the second the teams continued to exchange baskets before the visitors made a 7-0 run to go up by 3. A bit later with 5-0 they took a 6-point lead and at the half it was 7.

In the third quarter Kumanovo led but the hosts remained close. The difference went up to 8 points a few times but it was cut to 5 at the 30-minute mark. Then the fourth quarter started on 11-2 run for Teodo which gave the team a 4-point advantage. Kumanovo however bounced back and retook the lead before Teodo answered with a triple. The final 5 points in the game though were for the visitors and they won.

Aleksandar Kostoski was the top performer for the visitors with 26 points and 8 rebounds while Vukasin Mandic had 17 points. For the home team Manuel Johnson finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Marko Mijovic scored 13 points.
