Sutjeska holds off Rilski Sportist for third home win

KK Sutjeska won its third game at home after defeating Rilski Sportist 81-79 in front of its own fans. The hosts played better in the decisive moments and especially big was one lay up by Nemanja Vranjes. The teams played an interesting and even game with no big leads and they both had the chance to win. At the end though the home side played a little bit smarter and won. After this game both teams are tied in group A with 3-2 record. On Thursday Rilski will visit Teodo while next week Sutjeska will play at Peja.
 
The hosts took the early lead and went up by 7 points. Rilski however responded fast and cut the deficit as after that the visitors tied the score. In the second quarter the hosts managed once again to go up by 7 points but in the last minute of the first half Rilski managed to turn around the scored and led by 3 after 20 minutes.
 
The second half started well for the visitors who went up by 9 points. However the hosts responded quickly but Rilski continued to lead as after 30 minutes were up by 5. 6-0 start for Sutjeska gave them 1-point advantage in the first minutes of the last quarter but soon Rilski restored theirs. The visitors went up by 5 once again but a new 6-0 run for the home team gave them back the lead. Then both teams exchanged baskets before Vranjes made a lay up to give Sutjeska 3-point lead with 50 to play. Norfleet added one free throw for the visitors and after Pavlicevic missed, Rilski had a chance to tie but didn′t score. After that Sutjeska sealed the game with two free throws as Bozov scored at the buzzer.
 
Nemanja Vranjes was the top scorer for the winners with 29 points as Radosav Spasojevic had 18 off the bench.
 
For the visitors Simeon Iliev had 26 points while Tony Gugino added 17 and 16 rebounds.
