Big home win for SCM U Craiova over Sigal Prishtina

SCM U Craiova recorded a great home win and second overall in group B of EUROHOLD Balkan League. The Romanians hosted KB Sigal Prishtina and won 101-82 after playing very well from second quarter until the end. The first one was for the visitors but from then on Craiova dominated and won convincingly. The hosts won by a bigger margin that they lost in Prishtina so they will have the advantage in an eventual tie-breaker between those two teams. After this game the Romanians now stand at 2-4 record and next week will host KS Vllaznia. Sigal on the other hand are now at 4-3 and will welcome Kozuv next week in Prishtina.

It was an even first quarter with both teams having the lead but right at the end Sigal went up by 3. Things though changed after the middle of the second when a 10-0 run for the home team broke a tie game and they led by 8 at the break.

The advantage of the hosts was around 10 points after that as well but in two minutes they scored 10 unanswered points to go up by 19. From that point on Craiova cruised on for the victory as only at the start of the last quarter the lead went down to 13. Then the hosts responded quickly and at the end increased their lead.

Djordje Micic had a great debut with 19 points and 6 assists while Marko Boltic also scored 19 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

For the visitors Edin Bavcic had double double with 20 points and 12 rebounds as Dardan Berisha added 16 points and 6 assists.
