Rosen Barchovski, head coach of BC Rilski Sportist: A precious win for us

Yesterday BC Rilski Sportist defeated KK Kozuv away and handed the hosts their first defeat of the season. Here is what the head coach of the winners - Rosen Barchovski, had to say at the following day:

"I′m very happy with the win for a few reasons. First - Kozuv was the absolute leader until now, with nine straight wins and no defeats. It′s a hard place to play, the gym is always full. Second - In the last days we′ve had a lot of games with lots of traveling and with almost no chance to practice and prepare for the matches. This was also disturbing and you know about our injury problems as well. I′m very pleasantly surprised with the way our team played and mostly of the way we won. Because we won the game with character and played the proper way tactically the last minutes. In Peja we also won but we were shooting very well while yesterday it was a matter of which team will outplay the other and we succeeded. In fact with that victory we are in the playoffs so for me it′s very precious.

We′ll try to chase the first place in the group as well. We started bad by playing bad game against Sigal at home but this win sends us at 100% in the next stage. The teams got better and the level is very high but we succeeded. I′m also happy that those players that were injured - our key players Bozov and Rakocevic, not only played but also had an amazing game."
