Official decision of EUROHOLD Balkan League for the game KK Sutjeska - KB Sigal Prishtina

Here is the official decision of EUROHOLD Balkan League after the events occurred during the game between KK Sutjeska and KB Sigal Prishtina:
 
During the game KK Sutjeska vs. KB Sigal Prishtina in the 1st quarter, 5.33 min to go, with result 14-18 and timeout for KK Sutjeska, a petard was thrown on the court by a group of ultras-spectators of the home team, sitting on the tribune, opposite the bench of KB Sigal Prishtina. As a result of the explosion, two players and three staff members of the visiting club were injured and the game could not be resumed. 
 
The reaction of the local police forces with the support of the home team management was immediate, professional and KB Sigal Prishtina were assisted to threat the injured individuals and leave the city of Niksic safely. 
 
Although, according to the BIBL Official regulations the result should be 0-20 with 0 points for the standings and it was announced that way by the League on the evening of the game, having in mind that the organization was on very high level and the players and management of KK Sutjeska are not guilty for the violent insane actions of the hooligans, and after consulting with the Competition Manager who was also commissioner at the game, the League reconsidered its position and took decision to keep the result 0-20 but award KK Sutjeska 1 point for the classification. 
 
This decision is lead by the spirit of the basketball game and fair play. KK Sutjeska is the youngest team in the Balkan League and they do not deserve to finish their first participation in the Balkan League in that ugly way only because of hooligans even though the rules say the opposite. Moreover, taking out a point from KK Sutjeska would practically make them finish the season and decide the 2nd stage in group D and this is not the purpose of our competition.
 
Having in mind all the above-written, according to the BIBL official regulations, EUROHOLD Balkan League hereby imposes the following:
 
1. Due to the fact there were injured players and team-members, a maximum fine of 5000 euro (five thousand) and 1 (one) home game without spectators as per Art. 11.4.1. and 11.4.5.:
 
“11.1.4. For act of violence towards referees, commissioner, table officials or opponent, a fine up to EUR 5000 and suspension from one (1) to three (3)games shall be imposed.
 
11.1.5. For unsportsmanlike behaviour on the part of the public towards opponents, commissioner, referees or table officials (menacing, intimidating, serious misbehaviour, agression on and off the playing court, acts of violence, throwing of objects), a fine up to EUR 5000 shall be imposed.”
 
2. Loss by forfeit 20-0, but with 1 point for the classification.
