Shay Shtriks: Sport will always win

Tonight KB Sigal Prishtina defeated KK Sutjeska in front of a full gym at home. As you all know the last week game between those two teams was terminated with less than six minutes played after a fan threw a petard towards Sigal′s bench and injured several people from the team. However tonight the atmosphere created was great and the Sports Director of EUROHOLD Balkan League - Mr. Shay Shtriks, wanted to say the following:   "EUROHOLD Balkan League and I as the Sports Director would like to thank first of all to the players and management of KK Sutjeska, the Montenegro Basketball Federation, the players and management of KB Sigal Prishtina, Kosovo Baskteball Federation and last but not least, to all the fans and supporters of KB Sigal Prishtina for the fair and sportsmanlike behaviour tonight. They all showed that sports, especially, basketball was never and will never be lead by violence, hooliganism, either racial or religious differences and political propaganda. The great atmosphere in the sports hall of Prishtina proved clearly that basketball can be played in front of full tribunes without accidents but with happiness and love towards the favourite club.
I would hereby also like to thank the commissioner and referees for the good game control and management in this uneasy situation.

We, the EUROHOLD Balkan League, showed during the p?ssed week that violence shall not prevail  and will not be tolerated and that it is more strong than borders and nations. We will continue playing pure and strong basketball, and to provide opportunities to players, coaches, spectators to enjoy their beloved game."
