Quarterfinal preview: SCM U Craiova and Sigal ready to face off

Today at 19.00 hrs local time SCM U Craiova will host KB Sigal Prishtina in the second quarterfinal of EUROHOLD Balkan League. Both teams are eager to start the playoffs in the competition and they both have the same goal - advance further as much as possible.

SCM U Craiova had a great chance to finish first in the Second Stage but lost its last home game against Kumanovo. This put them in third place which secured them this match-up against one of the teams most in form in the competition. The Romanians rely on Djordje Micic, Travis Bureau and Milivoje Bozovic but the good thing also is that the local players also received their chance in BIBL and they didn′t dissapoint. Craiova is a well balanced team and is coming from a very good win against Oradea in the local league. That will surely boost the players confidence for this important first game of the quarterfinals.

KB Sigal Prishtina is coming to this match with four straight wins in EUROHOLD Balkan League - all of them in the Second Stage. However the team is coming after losing the Cup final against Peja which was a tough one to swallow. What′s more Sigal is without its top player - Dardan Berisha who is injured and will miss this game. This is no doubt a big blow to the team′s chances but it means that the other players have to step up and try to fill the void.

Those teams were in the same group in the First Stage and exchanged wins in their home matches. However there have been changes to the rosters and the stakes now are much higher - so this will be a different fixture and one to be seen.
