Strong second half gave Peja a lead over Rilski

KB Peja took a 1-point lead after the first semifinal game against BC Rilski Sportist. The team from Kosovo took a away 63-62 win after playing very well in defense in the second half. After the first 20 minutes the hosts were up by 12 points but after that the visitors did very well and had an advantage. With that result they took an advantage after the first leg as the second will be played in their home court next Tuesday.   Shortly after the start of the game Rilski made a 7-0 run to go up by 8 points. Then the team managed to hold on to its lead until the end of it and in the second a 10-2 run made the difference 13. Until the break Rilski kept its lead and had a good advantage before the second half.

With Rilski leading by 10 in the third quarter the visitors made 12-2 run and tied the game. After that the teams exchanged some baskets and after Peja scored at the buzzer, the hosts were up by 2 after 30 minutes. By scoring the first four points of the last quarter, the visitors took their first lead of the game. Rilski tied the score and then the teams once again exchanged some points. Peja managed to make a 6-0 run to go up by 4 and after few minutes without scoring, Zlatin Georgiev made a triple for the hosts to cut the lead to 1 with two minutes to go. Then the teams exchanged two free throws as with 30 seconds to go Rilski had an offense afte the visitors made a mistake. However Rakocevic missed for the home team and Peja couldn′t score but still they took an advantage before the second leg.   Jozo Brkic had a double double for the winners with 14 points and 13 rebounds while Alban Veseli had 13 points.   For the home team Yordan Bozov had 13 points while Zlatin Georgiev added 11.
