EUROHOLD Balkan League with a plaque for Petar Georgiev

EUROHOLD Balkan League presented a plaque to the president of Rilski Sportist - Mr. Petar Georgiev. This happened before the first semifinal game against Peja that was played in Sofia.

The Sports Director of EUROHOLD Balkan League - Mr. Shay Shtriks, presented the plaque to Mr. Georgiev whose team is with the league since it started and didn′t play just one season in it.

The life of Petar Georgiev is connected to the basketball for more than 50 years. He first started in Rilski as played, then was a coach in the team and from year 1993 is the president of the club. Under his guidance Rilski Sportist has achieved its biggest successes starting with winning the first EUROHOLD Balkan League edition in 2008. After that the team has one final and one third place in the competition. In 2010 Rilski reached the Cup Final in Bulgaria and has finished third four times. In 2013 the team was third in Bulgarian championship which is the best position ever. The youngsters of Rilski have won 19 national titles and have finished in top three 58 times with Georgiev as president of the team.
