Kosta Iliev: BIBL is useful for basketball in the region

Kosta Iliev is an old friend of EUROHOLD Balkan League as he follows it since it started. He was in Samokov for the second final of season 2014/2015 between Rilski Sportist and Sigal Prishtina as a representative of FIBA. He took some time also to answer some questions:
"I feel very well at the final. I watched also the final back in 2009 here and the atmosphere is the same - full gym, good game.

Balkan League is a very useful competition for the basketball in the region. It′s clear that here we have teams that want to develop and have programs. There are a lot of local players which means this is a place where a lot of young players can perform and this league is organized according all FIBA rules and functions very well. We are happy from what we see.

The re-recognition was one standart process which we installed in FIBA and all regional leagues had to p?ss through it. The same process was did to some other leagues as well. The regional competitions are very interesting.

The people in BIBL know their job. They have to keep the same level of work, to play according to all rules, the calendar to be coordinated with that of national federations which also gives the possibility to the referees from the region to receive additional international games, international experience and to develop themselves as better referees."
