BIBL and SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria to present new project

SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League together with SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria are happy to present new project, part of the recently-agreed mutual cooperation – insurance for basketball referees and commissioners.   From season 2015-2016 the referees and commissioners officiating in the BIBL will be insured for their traveling by car to and from the venues of the games, baggage losses when flying and for accidents/injuries occurred during the games.   The insurance policy is valid until the final game of season 2015-2016 on 20.04.2016 and is fully covered by the Balkan League where the officials are not going to have any financial obligation towards the insurance company.   It is a totally new product for the basketball world in the region but it is however a challenge for both SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria and the BIBL. This product is innovative and targets not only to give our officials the security of being protected while traveling but also to develop new ideas in cooperation with our new partners.    Mr. Avni Ponari, CEO of SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria himself stressed the attention during the official press-conference that took place in Skopje on 14.10.2015 that the Balkan League carrying the name of one of the strongest insurance companies in Europe and on the Balkans will be a model for the development of the sports in the region.   “We are happy that from season 2015-2016 Balkan League will be named after SIGAL UNIQA Group Austria. We hope that, similar to UNIQA as a very good company and very strong in Balkan and European markets, the Balkan League will be a model for the development of the  basketball in this region and we hope that in the coming years there will be more teams.
