Domestic leagues: A dramatic win for Beroe, defeat for Levski 2014

BC Beroe recorded a very dramatic win in the fifth round of Bulgarian league. The team from Stara Zagora hosted Cherno more and won 89-87 in overtime.
Beroe was on the way to be defeated having been down by 16 in the middle of the third quarter. Then though they made a 17-0 run to take the lead and after that both teams went neck to neck. The match went to overtime in which Beroe took a 6-point lead. The visitors cut the deficit to 1 but couldn′t do more.
Evrik Gary had 28 points for the winners while Tencho Tenchev had 15.
In this same round Levski 2014 suffered a dramatic defeat at home. The Blues hosted Rilski Sportist and lost 74-75 in a hard fought match. With the score tied and 22 seconds to go the visitors made a triple. In the next second Levski cut the deficit to 1 and after Bozov missed two free throws, the hosts had a chance to win. Hristo Nikolov received the ball but his 3-point attempt was short.
Aleks Simeonov had 22 points and 7 rebounds for Levski as Hristo Nikolov added 13 and 8.
After five rounds Beroe is tied for 4th place with 4-2 record while Levski 2014 is tied for 7th position with 1-4 record.News
