Domestic leagues: Defeats for Levski 2014 and Beroe

BC Levski 2014 suffered a defeat in the 7th round of Bulgarian league. The Blues hosted Balkan and lost 59-65 after battling hard for 40 minutes. The Greens took a 7-point lead in the third quarter and managed to keep it until the end despite all attempts from the home side.   Aleks Simeonov had 14 points for Levski while Ivko Ivkov and Ventsislav Petkov both had 9.   Beroe′s run of four straight wins came to an end after the team lost to Academic Plovdiv 80-86 away. The visitors led by 11 at the break but the home team looked different after that. With the score tied at 79 near the end, the hosts scored a triple and led until the buzzer.   Evrik Gary and Tihomir Zhelev both had 14 points for Beroe.     After 8 rounds Beroe are tied for third place with 5-3 record while Levski are in 7th position with 2-6.
