Bashkimi trying to secure the Second Stage, Levski 2014 to stay in the hunt for it
15-12-2015 | 07:33
KB Bashkimi are hosting BC Levski 2014 tonight in a game that would decide a lot of things in group B of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The match will start at 19.30 hrs local time and will be broadcast LIVE on SuperSport, BNT World and Sportmedia.tv.
Bashkimi will almost certainly qualify directly for the Second Stage if they win the game. It will take them to four wins with one home match against Lovcen left for them. However the team will have to play without Gerti Shima who is injured and this could turn to be a problem. Still they can rely on the American trio of Marcel Jones, Theron Bussey and Tay Waller who with Granit Rugova are showing good form and are expected to create problems for the visitors. So far Bashkimi are 2 of 2 at home and will look to take its third straight win.
Levski 2014 are making some changes to the roster and have two new players since their last game. The Blues will have to try and secure the win in order to keep good chances of going directly to the Second Stage. They will have a chance to do so even with a defeat with less than 17 points but will have to win their last two games and hope Bashkimi will lose to Lovcen at home. Stanislav Slaveykov will bring the necessary experience to the team as he is back to The Blues and will be expected to lead his younger teammates. Again Aleks Simeonov and 17-year old Yordan Minchev look to be the main threaths in offense as Ventsislav Petkov also has to step up and play better due to his important role in the team.News
