Bashkimi are through to the Second Stage after crushing Levski 2014

KB Bashkimi are through to the Second Stage of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The team from Prizren hosted BC Levski 2014 in group B game and crushed their opponent by taking a 94-75 win. The hosts gave no chance to the visitors and controlled the game throughout. For The Blues from Sofia it was by far the worst game this season and for 30 minutes they were very far away from their best basketball. This win gives Bashkimi a 4-3 record and the points difference means that they cannot be overcome by Levski. The Blues on the other side suffered their fourth straight defeat and need to win their last two home games against Peja and Teodo in order to have a chance to reach the Second Stage directly.   Levski scored the first two points of the game but then Bashkimi hit them with a storm. The hosts made a run of 20 straight points, highlighted by some fast break dunks, and managed to take a big advantage. After ten minutes it was 23 points and things didn′t change in the second quarter. The hosts had a big advantage and it reached 30 points at the end of the first half.    After 20 minutes Bashkimi had 15 steals and the visitors none. That led to 17-0 advantage in points off turnovers for the home side and it contributed for their big lead while also adding to poor first half from Levski.   The third quarter started with 7 straight points for the home side and later in it the advantage reached 40 to add to the dissappointing night for the visitors. Still after that moment the players of Bashkimi started playing with less focus and more relaxed and it reflected on the scoreboard. Thanks to that Levski cut a lot of their deficit but it was too late for anything.    Marcel Jones finished with 28 points, 8 steals and 6 rebounds for the winners while Tay Waller added 25 points.   For the visitors Aleks Simeonov had double-double of 31 points and 12 rebounds as Evgeni Hadzhirusev added 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
