KB Peja finished in style the First Stage in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The Yellows recorded their 7th straight win in group B after downing KK Lovcen Basket 78-61 at home. Peja had secured the top position in the group before two rounds but still continued to give 100% and played well. Lovcen also tried to give its best despite the fact that the team knew it would finish 5th in the group and will play in the Qualification Round next week.
The game was pretty much decided early after a great start for the hosts. Shortly after seven minute Peja went up by 18 points and controlled the match from then on. With 8-0 run to end the third quarter they increased the advantage to 22 and had no problems to finish off the game in the final ten minutes.
The big difference between the two teams came from the 3-point shooting. The hosts made 9 of 25 attempts while the visitors were only 2 from 32.
Ronald Davis (9 rebounds) and Kevin Burwell had game high for the winners as both scored 18 points. Nenad Delic also did well with 13 points and 8 rebounds.
For the visitors 14 points apiece had Aleksandar Milic and Mikaile Tmusic as Petar Jovanovic had good overall game with 10 points, 11 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals.
