Domestic leagues: Comeback win for Beroe over Levski 2014

The two Bulgarian BIBL representatives Levski 2014 and Beroe met in Sofia and the visitors took an 82-71 comeback win. They were on the down side for most of the time but changed gear at the right moment to take the victory. With it Beroe is still third with 11-5 record while Levski is 7th with 5-11.

 

 

The visitors scored the first 4 points but then Levski exploded for 17 in a row. However Beroe managed to start playing better and not only cut the deficit but even took the lead at the break. Then both teams were exchaning points before a good run in the fourth quarter gave the visitors a 10-point lead which they kept until the end.

 

 

Tihomir Zhelev finished as top scorer for the winners with 17 points while also adding 7 rebounds. Tencho Tenchev and Auston Barnes scored 14 points apiece.

 


Ventsislav Petkov had his best game of the season with 20 points for Levski while 16 and 11 rebounds had the captain Aleks Simeonov.

 

 

The two teams will meet once again on Tuesday in Samokov in a game from the Qualification Round for Top 8 in SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League.
