Sigal Prishtina led from start to finish to win second straight
KB Sigal Prishtina recorded a second straight win in group D of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. The champions hosted BC Levski 2014 and led from start to finish to take a 89-66 victory. Sigal built an early double digit lead which they preserved until the end. With that win the champions are now alone in first place of the group while Levski follows after suffering its first defeat. In the next round on February 23 and 24th Sigal Prishtina will host Peja in the Kosovo derby while Levski will visit Kozuv.
Sigal scored the first 3 points in the game and never lost the lead after that. The hosts jumped to a 17-4 point advantage in just six minutes and were up by 11 after ten. In the second quarter they increased the advantage to 20 but Levski managed to cut it to 15 at the break. After it Sigal controlled the difference and had no trouble to take the win.
The usual suspect Dardan Berisha was the top performer for the winners with 23 points and 7 assists. Jason Washburn finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds for another double-double while Mohamed Abukar came offf the bench to score 12 points.
Stanislav Slaveykov was the top scorer for The Blues with 26 points with Yordan Minchev adding 11.
