Domestic cups: Overtime win takes Beroe to the last 4

BC Beroe is through to the semifinal of the Cup of Bulgaria. The team from Stara Zagora had a very hard time before beating Spartak Pleven 109-100 after overtime. In the semifinal tonight they will meet Rilski Sportist.

Beroe took a 10-point lead after one but in the second Spartak played great and turned the deficit in to 8-points advantage at the break. They kept leading for most of the second half but after Evrik Gary hit two triples Beroe went up by 6 with less than three minutes to go. Still with 14 seconds to play Spartak cut it to 2 then Beroe scored one free throw. After the team from Pleven lost the ball Karamfilov was fouled but he missed both free throws. That gave the other team a chance and after Velickovic was fouled shooting from the center court, he made 3 shots and the game went to overtime. Beroe however started it with 8 straight points and it happened to be enough for the team.

Evrik Gary finished with 32 points and 6 assists for the win while Tihomir Zhelev added 23 points.
