What we should know before the final week of the Second Stage...

The upcoming week is the last one in the Second Stage of SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League. We have four games left that will decide the teams going to the semifinals. All four matches are important for the final standings and below we are going to break down the situation in both groups and what we should know about the possibilities in the competition. 

Group C

Games left: Bashkimi - Beroe and Mornar - Teodo

Option 1: Win for Bashkimi and win for Mornar

Final standings: 1. Mornar 2. Beroe 3. Teodo 4. Bashkimi

Option 2: Win for Bashkimi and win for Teodo

Final standings: 1. Teodo 2. Mornar 3. Beroe 4. Bashkimi

Option 3: Win for Beroe and win for Mornar

Final standings: 1. Mornar 2. Beroe 3. Teodo 4. Bashkimi

Option 4: Win for Beroe and win for Teodo

Final Standings: 1. Beroe 2. Teodo 3. Mornar 4. Bashkimi

Group D

Games left: Levski 2014 - Kozuv and Peja - Sigal Prishtina

Option 1: Win for Levski 2014 and win for Peja

Final Standings: 1. Sigal Prishtina 2. Peja 3. Kozuv 4. Levski 2014

Option 2: Win for Kozuv and win for Peja/Sigal Prishtina

Final Standings: 1. Sigal Prishtina 2. Kozuv 3. Peja 4. Levski 2014

Option 3: Win for Levski 2014 by at least 29 points and win for Sigal Prishtina

Final Standings: 1. Sigal Prishtina 2. Levski 2014 3. Kozuv 4. Peja

Option 4: Win for Levski 2014 up to 28 points and win for Sigal Prishtina

Final Standings: 1. Sigal Prishtina 2. Kozuv 3. Levski 2014 4. Peja

Sports Director of BIBL - Mr. Shay Shtriks, also had some words to say before the decisive week of the Second Stage in the competition: 

"For the past years, since our Foundation in 2008, the Balkan League has shown to the basketball community that we are clean organization. We are standing a step before the last games of the second stage and it happened that each of the upcoming games is decisive in one way or another for every club. However, I am fully convinced the tradition of fair-play, sportsmanlike behavior and respect towards the opponents shall continue and we are going to have clean and pure basketball fights on the court.

I am hereby addressing all the players, coaches, managements, referees - let′s keep the spirit and beauty of the game we love!

Thus, everybody involved in the SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League has to know that each of our games is closely observed.

I would like to thank the teams for the competitive and strong games until now during the season and to wish them good luck in their last "test" before the 2016 Finals.
