Domestic leagues: A historic win for Beroe, dramatic one for Levski 2014

BC Beroe recorded a historic win in Bulgarian league. The team from Stara Zagora visited the champions Lukoil Academic and won 87-77 after playing very good defense. It′s the first win ever for Beroe against that team and it helped them consolidate third place in the standings.

Beroe was close all the time except for two when Lukoil managed to make it a 10-point game. Twice though the visitors came back and in the last quarter tied the score. Then both teams exchanged points but after the visitors made an 8-0 run it was their game.

Ashton Moore had a great game for the win with 26 points while Aleksandar Todorovic added 15.

Levski 2014 had a dramatic 93-92 win over Cherno more away. The Blues were down by 11 at the break but started coming back after it. They finally took the lead at the start of the fourth quarter and never looked back despite a big drama at the end. With Levski leading by 2 Stanislav Tsonkov was fouled shooting from the center of the court. However he made only one free throw and the win went to the visitors.

Aleks Simeonov had a double-double with 27 points and 17 rebounds while Stanislav Slaveykov added 26 points.
