Avni Ponari was re-elected as president of Albanian federation

Avni Ponari will continue to be president of the basketball federation of Albania. He was re-elected at the position with 35 votes compared to 17 for his opponent.

Ponari has already been president of the federation for eight years and he will continue to work for the development of Albanian basketball. He is also CEO of SIGAL-UNIQA and Honorary consul of Japan in Albania. Avni Ponari is a big friend and supporter of the basketball game and he has been working tirelessly to promote it in his own country and in the Balkan region.

Recently the federation attracted the Cypriot Antonis Constantinides to become a head coach of the national team. He is currently coaching Sigal Prishtina but in the past has had success in his native Cyprus and in Romania.
