Injury problem for BIBL champion

Stanimir Marinov′s participation for Bulgaria Men National team this summer is under question. The BIBL champion from this past season with KB Sigal Prishtina, teared up a muscle in his hip during the finals in Kosovo league.

Marinov already had an operation and the doctors have said that he needs a month long break. After that he can start rehabbing and then eventually he will be able to join the practice of the national team. However the team starts its preparation on July 15th and Marinov won′t be able to come before the end of that month. Then it will be up to him and the doctors to decide whether he will be able to play and be fully fit for the official games.

Bulgaria is in a group with Kosovo, Ukraine and Slovenia in the Qualifcations for Eurobasket 2017.
