KB Sigal Prishtina seeking to remain the BIBL Champion for third consecutive year
The SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League Champion for seasons 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 has announced officially its participation also for the upcoming season 2016-2017 seeking of course the third title.
KB Sigal Prishtina was first welcomed to the BIBL family back in 2013-2014 and since then has walked a long path building strong organization, roster and traditions in the city of Prishtina winning already two titles and stating its firm position in the Kosovo League as well.
Last season the team performed very good locally too winning the title and the Cup trophies.
The SIGAL UNIQA Balkan League management is happy by the club’s positive decision to remain part of the competition as such decision is very important for both sides and only speaks of the excellent cooperation we have created throughout the years.
KB Sigal Prishtina is working seriously on finishing its roster. Only a week ago they inked the Montenegrin coach Petar Mijovic and the famous Kosovo player Granit Rugova who is believed to be the one to replace Dardan Berisha’s leading role on the court. Berisha left for Poland during July looking for different experience and challenges. The team also added Jabari Hinds, Farad Cobb and Elvis Dusha.
Everybody is eagerly waiting to see which other popular names will land in Prishtina in trying to help the team to achieve the goals as for second year in a row, KB Sigal Prishtina will also compete in the FIBA Europe Cup.
During the next week, the Kosovo Basketball Federation is expected to send also their letter of consent required under the BIBL Official Regulations.
