Kumanovo returned with a hard win over Teodo

KK Kumanovo 2009 returned to SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League with a difficult home win. The team played KK Teodo in front of its fans and took 78-75 victory. The match featured a lot of ties and lead changes as both sides fought very hard to win it. The game was decided in the final three minutes when the hosts made a good run and held on. Next week Kumanovo will visit KB Bashkimi while rest and then will host KK Kozuv.

Kumanovo scored the first four points of the match and had the lead after that. However it wasn′t a big one before a 10-0 run in the second quarter gave the hosts a 10-point lead. Teodo though answered well and made an 11-1 run to tie the score and after Stanojevic scored a triple the visitors led by 1 at the break.

Both teams stayed close in the third quarter as Teodo stayed ahead for most of the time. The visitors even made the difference 5 points but then Kumanovo reacted and finished the period with 10-0 to go up by 5 after 30 minutes. The run continued at the start of the fourth quarter when the lead reached 9 points. Then Teodo responded again to tie the score and shortly after even took the advantage back. Kumanovo scored the next 7 points and took a 6-point lead which they held despite all the visitors efforts in the end.

Danilo Mijatovic had a great game for the winners and finished with 31 points and 7 rebounds. Miladin Pekovic and Dimitar Karadjovski also did well and had 12 points apiece.

Top scorer for the visiting team was Milos Djurisic with 19 points. Milan Stanojevic added 17 points while Radomir Marojevic had 15.
