No trouble for Sutjeska in Skopje

KK Sutjeska returned to SIGAL-UNIQA Balkan League with big victory. The team from Niksic visited debuting KK Karpos Sokoli 2000 in Skopje and had no trouble to win 94-60. Both teams were close only at the start but from the second period on the visitors pulled away and recorded an impressive victory. Next week Karpos Sokoli will visit Trepca while Sutjeska will rest and then host SK Tirana.

 

It was an even first quarter with no team being able to take some kind of advantage. Everything though changed in the second when the visiting team a decisive run. Sutjeska started the quarter by scoring 14 points compare to 3 for the home side which gave the Niksic side a good advantage. Moments later the lead reached 20 points and it remained the same until the break. In the second half they controlled the match and had no trouble to record a big victory.

 

Sutjeska hit 11 triples from 19 attempts while also forcing the hosts to make 24 turnovers which led to the big difference.

 

Nikola Djokovic was the top scorer for the winners with 21 points. Marko Perovic finished with 19 and 7 rebounds as Goran Gajovic scored 13 points.

 

Filip Bakoch was the top scorer for the home team with 12 points while Zoran Vrkic had 11.
